The right place for a subwoofer is rarely the place with a cable path to it, and in a finished room the cable is the thing that decides. This kit sends the low frequency feed to an active subwoofer wirelessly, so placement follows the acoustics instead of the conduit.

It is an extension for an active subwoofer, which supplies its own amplification at the far end. The transmitter takes the line level feed at the rack.
