This is the foam windscreen that fits over the boom microphone on Clear-Com CC-300 and CC-400 headsets, cutting plosives and breath noise for whoever is talking on the intercom. It is the part crews replace most often since it takes direct contact with the mouth and wears out well before the headset itself.
