Chief PL1C Large RPA Series Projector (Lock C)
The PL1C is Chief's large-format RPA series projector lock, supplied with key option C. It is the middle ground between Chief's standard All-Points Security, which any determined hand can defeat, and a full security cage that swallows the whole projector. The lock closes over the mount itself: enough to make a projector a poor target, without the visual bulk of a cage in a room where the ceiling is meant to disappear.
Maintenance was designed in rather than traded away. Sliding access doors open for lamp and filter service without unlocking the installation, and the body is slotted so the projector keeps its ventilation - a sealed enclosure is how a lamp dies early. It fits new or existing Chief RPA series installations, allows standard cable routing through 1.5 in NPT pipe, and ships fully assembled. Three key options are offered - A, B and C - so a site can be keyed to a scheme rather than to one lock. For smaller projector models, see the PL2.
