Chauvet DJ SlimPAR Pro Pix

SlimPAR Pro Pix is a hex-color RGBAW+UV wash with a second light source wrapped around it: an outer ring of 57 RGB LEDs that controls independently and pixel-maps. The ring turns the par into an effect fixture, running animations and video content around the perimeter while the center does its job as a wash.

The housing is die-cast aluminum rather than moulded plastic, which is the difference between a fixture that survives a touring case and one that does not. The main array is twelve 10 W hex LEDs producing 2,775 lumens and 3,246 lux at 2 m across a 25 degree beam and 39 degree field. Operation is flicker-free for on-camera use. Control is 12, 26 or 48 channel DMX over 3-pin and 5-pin XLR, with strobe to 20 Hz.
