Chauvet DJ Shocker P2 Dual-Zone Penta-Color Blinder
Blinders are usually fixed warm white; the Shocker P2 makes the blinder itself a colour instrument. Two penta-color emitters - red, green, blue, amber and warm white, 130W total - mean it can do a conventional tungsten-look audience blind, a saturated colour hit, or an amber-warmed pastel, and the two lamps are separately controllable so the fixture can split left and right.
The beam is 62 degrees with a 105-degree field, reading 1,300 lux at 2 meters. Control runs at 4, 7, 12 or 20 DMX channels over 3- or 5-pin XLR with RDM support, addressed from an OLED display, and built-in dimming curves keep fades smooth at the bottom of the range. Up to four slave fixtures link for synchronised shows, and D-Fi USB compatibility makes that wireless. powerCON-compatible input and output connectors chain twelve units on a 120V circuit. It measures 16.6 x 3.8 x 9.1 inches and weighs 8.2 lb.
