Canon XF705 Professional 4K Camcorder
The Canon XF705 is a professional 4K UHD camcorder built for news gathering, outdoor events, sports, and documentary work, combining broadcast image quality with a compact, portable body. A 1.0-inch type CMOS image sensor and dual DIGIC DV6 image processors record 4K UHD up to 60P and slow motion up to 120fps in Full HD, with a 15x zoom lens whose three manual control rings handle zoom, focus, and iris. Dual Pixel CMOS AF and 5-axis image stabilization support fast, steady solo shooting.
The XF705 was among the first camcorders to adopt the H.265/HEVC codec in its XF-HEVC format, recording 4:2:2 10-bit video for efficient file sizes without sacrificing color depth, and it supports Hybrid Log Gamma and PQ HDR capture. A 12G-SDI output moves 4K over a single cable at four times the speed of 3G-SDI, and an HDMI 2.0 terminal adds 4K UHD output for monitoring and delivery. It is a broadcast-ready workhorse in a one-operator form factor.
