Canon RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM Lens

The Canon RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM is a bright short-telephoto prime that does double duty as a portrait lens and a half-life-size macro. At 85mm on a full-frame EOS R body it gives the flattering compression and shallow depth of field portrait shooters look for, and the fast f/2 aperture renders soft, rounded bokeh from its nine-blade diaphragm while keeping the eyes crisp. Focus down to 0.5x magnification and it becomes a close-up tool for product shots, flowers, and detail work.

Built-in Optical Image Stabilization provides up to 5 stops of shake correction, and a Hybrid IS system adds correction for the angular and shift movement that shows up at macro distances. The lens focuses to about 1.15 feet, uses a quiet STM stepping motor well suited to video, and accepts 67mm filters. It ships with the Lens Cap E-67 II.
