Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface

The Blackmagic GPI and Tally Interface bridges an ATEM production switcher to the hardware around it, turning the switcher's program state into physical tally lights and general-purpose triggers. A single 25-pin D-type connector provides 8 opto-isolated inputs and 8 relay contact-closure outputs, so you can light on-air tallies, trigger playback devices or take in cues from other equipment. Multiple interfaces connect together to cover a larger camera count.

It links to the switcher over 10/100 BaseT Ethernet with loop through, so it drops into the same network as the ATEM. A USB 2.0 port handles configuration and firmware updates, and setup is done in the ATEM Switcher Utility. A 12V power supply is included. It carries Blackmagic part number BMD-SWTALGPI8.
