Blaze Audio CBL528 Passive Bi-Amped Constant Beamwidth Loudspeaker
The CBL528 is a passive, bi-amped constant beamwidth loudspeaker built around eight 2-inch coaxial mid/HF drivers arrayed vertically around four 5-inch low-frequency drivers with acoustic centering. That arrangement holds a steady 180-degree horizontal by 45-degree vertical pattern across the band, reaching 131 dB max SPL with response from 48 Hz to 18 kHz. The LF section handles 320 W AES program (1280 W peak) at 5.2 ohms, and the HF section handles 200 W AES (800 W peak) at 8 ohms.
The enclosure is 12 mm birch plywood and engineered plastics behind a 14-gauge perforated steel grille, finished in a powder coat. Mounting covers M10 x 4 rigging points, a projector mount, and a two-position CMA-395 compatible pole mount, and it ships in black or white to match either the CBL523 or a room's finish. At 38.5 pounds it is built for permanent install work in houses of worship, gymnasiums, and large retail spaces.
