A fixture that lives on a grid gets judged on things a location light never has to worry about. The first is noise: an actively cooled head hanging three metres above a presenter is a fan running into every open microphone in the room, and it does not stop between takes.

The second is behaviour on the dimmer. Lights that shift colour as they come down force you to relight rather than rebalance, which defeats the point of having a set position for everything. Once those two are settled, the useful question is how easily the source can be made soft, because the modifier does more for the picture than the extra output does.
