BirdDog P400 20x 10-Bit NDI 4K PTZ Camera (Black)
The P400 is BirdDog's 4K PTZ camera, built around a 1/2.5-inch, 8.5-megapixel Sony backlit sensor behind a 20x optical zoom lens (F2.0 wide to F3.8 tele), with a super-resolution digital zoom that extends reach to 30x in 4K and 40x in Full HD. It outputs NDI (both High Bandwidth and NDI|HX), HDMI, and 6G-SDI at the same time, all at 10-bit 4:2:2, so one camera can feed a full NDI production switcher and an SDI router without a converter box in between.
Pan covers a full 175 degrees each direction and tilt runs from +90 to -30 degrees at speeds up to 150 degrees per second, with 128 onboard presets for repeatable shots. Control is over VISCA IP or RS232/RS422/RS485 with PELCO D support, and the camera pulls 23-27 watts from 12V DC or PoE+, so a single Cat5e run can power and control it from a rack. At 2.7 kg it's a heavier, sturdier build than BirdDog's HD P-series cameras, sized for a broadcast truck or a permanently installed venue rig.
