Black Box KV4161A ServSwitch CX Quad IP 16-Port CATx KVM Switch
The CX Quad IP puts four remote users on the switch over TCP/IP using VNC, plus one local analogue console, for five simultaneous sessions across sixteen directly connected servers. All you need at the remote end is a Java-enabled web browser. Servers attach over CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 through Server Access Modules and may sit up to 32 feet (9.8 m) from the switch; PC, Mac and Sun machines can be mixed by choosing the right module.
Security is taken seriously: 128-bit public/private key protection, two-tier administrative and non-administrative passwords, client IP restriction, dial-up-only access and non-standard port numbers. Software-based skew compensation removes the colour drift that shows up on long UTP runs, and DDC emulation lets the monitor configure the attached video cards at boot. Daisy-chain up to three levels deep to control as many as 256 hosts. The KV1407A RS232 Serial Server Access Module adds terminal emulation over IP for up to 16 serial targets.
