Audio-Technica U851RO Omnidirectional Condenser Boundary Microphone
The U851RO is an omnidirectional boundary condenser from Audio-Technica's UniPoint line, designed to lie flat on a conference table, lectern, or altar and pick up talkers across the surface. Its low-profile element gives a uniform 360 degree pattern in the hemisphere above the mounting surface, and self-contained electronics mean no outboard power module clutters the install.
UniGuard RFI shielding rejects interference from phones and wireless gear, a UniSteep filter switch trims low-frequency room rumble, and a PivotPoint output connector lets the cable exit from the rear or the bottom for a tidy run. It runs on 11 to 52V phantom, ships with a 25 ft cable terminated in TA3F and XLRM connectors plus a protective pouch, and accepts optional UE-C cardioid or UE-H hypercardioid elements when the room needs a tighter pattern.
