Ashton Bentley HDMI Retractor Concealed self-winding cable retractor cassette
The HDMI Retractor is a concealed cassette that carries an Ashton Bentley locking HDMI cable and winds it back on itself when it is let go. It mounts inside the leg structure of an Ashton Bentley table or behind a Tablebox in third-party furniture, so the working length is there when a presenter needs it and the table surface is clear when they do not. Two retractors can sit in one Tablebox, which is the normal pairing: HDMI for the legacy laptop, USB-C for everything else.
The cable itself is the same one Ashton Bentley sells on its own: 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour, 24K gold-plated connectors, and a captive locking connector at the equipment end so the run cannot be pulled out of the hardware under the table. Fully retracted there is roughly 1.3 m of cable still in the cassette once it is fitted, which is what keeps the mechanism out of the leg and the connector at the surface.
