Yamaha LS9-16 Digital Mixing Console
The LS9-16 is the smaller of Yamaha's two LS9 live consoles, carrying 32 mono and 4 stereo input channels across two layers on a 16-fader surface, with 16 mix buses, 8 matrices and stereo plus mono outputs. Sixteen recallable head amps mean the gain structure travels with the scene rather than being reset by hand at every load-in, and eight omni outputs plus a mini-YGDAI slot cover the analog and digital ends of a typical portable rig.
A USB memory recorder and player is on the surface, so walk-in music and a two-track show recording need no laptop or outboard deck. Processing runs to four GEQ racks and four GEQ/SPX racks, with output port delay across 50 ports for time-aligning delay fills. At 12.0 kg the whole console lifts and sets by one person, and the RK1 rack mount kit puts it in a rack when the mix position is a rolling case.
