Yamaha HS8S Powered Studio Subwoofer
The Yamaha HS8S is a powered studio subwoofer built to extend the low end of an HS nearfield system. An 8-inch bass-reflex driver and a 150W amplifier reach down to 22 Hz, giving mix engineers a full-range picture of sub-bass content that stand-mounted monitors cannot reproduce on their own.
A rear PHASE switch and a variable low-cut/high-cut crossover let it integrate cleanly with the main monitors, and XLR/TRS inputs and outputs pass the main signal through for a simple 2.1 hookup. The cabinet uses the same matte finish and non-resonant construction as the rest of the HS range, so it disappears into the room rather than coloring the mix.
