Yamaha EMX2 Powered Mixer
The EMX2 is the small powered mixer in Yamaha's EMX line, a 10-input desk and a stereo amplifier in one 9.3 lb chassis that runs a pair of passive speakers with nothing else in the signal path. Four mono mic/line channels and three stereo line channels cover a band, a presenter and a playback source, and channel 4 switches to Hi-Z so a guitar or bass plugs straight in without a DI.
Three-band EQ sits on every channel, an SPX reverb offers hall, plate, room and echo, and a master EQ sweeps from a speech curve to a music curve with one knob. The feedback suppressor is the part that earns its keep in a room nobody had time to ring out. Monitor and subwoofer outputs leave the mix free to grow, and the RKEMX2 kit racks the mixer in 6U when it lives in a permanent system.
