Yamaha Club Series V Passive Subwoofer
These are the low-end cabinets for a Club Series V rig: bass-reflex passive subwoofers meant to sit under S-series tops and take the bottom two octaves off them. Yamaha specifies a 90 Hz, 12 dB per octave crossover for all three, which is where a processor or an amp's built-in filter should be set when you fly a full system.
The SW115V uses a single 15-inch cone rated 500 W program with a 35 Hz low corner, the SW118V moves to an 18-inch driver for a 30 Hz corner and 600 W program, and the SW218V puts two 18-inch cones in one 4-ohm cabinet for 1,200 W program and 98 dB sensitivity. All three carry two 1/4-inch phone jacks and two Neutrik Speakon NL4MP connectors wired in parallel so tops can be looped through from the sub position.
