Yamaha Club Series V Stage Monitor
The SM series are the wedge cabinets of Yamaha's Club Series V line, cut at a floor-monitor angle and voiced for what a performer needs to hear rather than what an audience needs. All three are two-way bass-reflex passive designs at 8 ohms nominal, so they run happily off the monitor sends of any rack amp and can be paralleled through their Speakon connectors.
The SM10V uses a 10-inch cone and a 1-inch voice-coil driver for drum fills and tight side-fills, the SM12V steps up to a 12-inch cone and a 2-inch driver for the standard front-of-stage wedge, and the SM15V puts a 15-inch cone behind the same 2-inch driver for loud stages and full-band monitoring. Program power handling runs 250 W, 350 W, and 500 W respectively, and every cabinet takes two 1/4-inch phone jacks plus two Neutrik Speakon NL4MP connectors.
