A streak filter etches a fine directional line pattern into the glass, so a bright practical light or a highlight in frame throws a long horizontal or vertical flare across the image instead of just blooming in place. It is a classic look for concert and stage footage, car headlights at night, or any shot that wants a bit of glamour off a point light source.

This one drops into a standard 4x5.65 inch matte box tray and comes in three line spacings, 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm, which controls how wide and prominent the streak reads, and in three colors: a neutral White streak, a cool Blue streak, and a multi-color Rainbow streak for a more stylized flare.
