Tascam TM-2X X-Y Stereo Condenser Microphone for DSLR Cameras
The TM-2X is an X-Y stereo condenser microphone that mounts in a camera shoe and replaces the on-board microphone of a DSLR or mirrorless body. The X-Y arrangement keeps the two capsules coincident, so the stereo image stays phase-coherent and collapses cleanly to mono, which matters when the audio is destined for a mixed programme.
It runs entirely on plug-in power to the JEITA CP-1203A standard, so there is no battery to check before a shoot. Frequency range is 50 Hz to 20 kHz, maximum input level is 120 dB SPL, and the microphone weighs 2.4 oz. A low-cut filter and a sensitivity switch cover the difference between a quiet interview and a loud location.
