Tascam IF-MA64/EX 64-Channel MADI Coaxial and Optical Expansion Card

The IF-MA64/EX carries 64 channels of MADI to AES10-2008 on both 75 ohm coaxial BNC and FDDI duplex SC multi-mode fibre, which is what a MADI run between rooms or between buildings needs. Channel counts follow the standard: 56 or 64 at 44.1 and 48 kHz, 28 or 32 at 88.2 and 96 kHz in either 48k or 96k frame mode.

Optical gives galvanic isolation as well as distance, so the card also solves ground loops between a stage rack and a control room that coax cannot. It fits the same expansion slot as the coaxial-only IF-MA64/BN on the DA-6400, DA-6400dp and Sonicview, and weighs 166 grams.
