Suzuki STR-6GC Tambourine

The STR-6GC is Suzuki's education-line tambourine, built thinner than a standard model so young players can grip it comfortably. A built-in grip on the inside of the frame gives small hands something secure to hold, and Suzuki designed out the usual stand-mounting hole entirely, since that is the spot where a child's finger gets pinched.

The frame is plywood carrying a goatskin head, with five pairs of steel jingles set into it for the familiar tambourine shimmer. At 153mm across and 139g, it is sized and weighted for a classroom or ensemble setting rather than stage use.
