Suzuki MR-200 Harpmaster 10-Hole Diatonic Harmonica

The Harpmaster is where Suzuki points a player moving up from a starter instrument. Ten holes, phosphor bronze reeds, an ABS comb and stainless steel covers, in a body that measures 101 x 26 x 20 mm and weighs 63 g. That is lighter than either the Folkmaster or the Bluesmaster, and the difference is noticeable across a long set.

The reed material matters more than the price gap suggests: phosphor bronze stays in tune under hard bending where brass drifts flat. Twelve major keys are available, so a player can assemble the set a key at a time rather than committing to a boxed collection.
