Studiologic SL Mixface DAW and Instrument Controller
The SL Mixface is a control surface that switches between running a DAW and editing an instrument. Each of eight tracks gets a knob, a slider and a button, with a master slider and a full transport section including markers and cycle, read on a 128 x 64 OLED display.
It connects as a USB device over micro-B and simultaneously over Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, and a USB host port takes a compatible keyboard so the Mixface becomes a four-layer MIDI controller on its own. Three AAA cells run it wirelessly. Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Pro Tools, Studio One, Reaper, Digital Performer, Reason and GarageBand are mapped, and 12 user presets hold custom layouts. It weighs 570 g.
