Shure KSM32/SL Single-Diaphragm Microphone
The Shure KSM32/SL is a side-address cardioid condenser built for critical studio tracking and demanding live stages. Its embossed, ultra-thin gold-layered Mylar diaphragm and Class A transformerless preamp give an extended, notably flat frequency response, so vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, and room sources come back transparent rather than colored. The cardioid pattern holds a tight front lobe that rejects off-axis spill and helps control feedback when the mic is used in a live rig.
A 15 dB attenuation switch lets it sit in front of drums, brass, and loud ensembles without overloading, while a switchable low-frequency filter tames rumble and proximity buildup. It runs on standard 48V phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output. The champagne-finish /SL package ships with the A32SM ShureLock rubber-isolated shock mount, the A32M ShureLock stand mount, a protective velveteen pouch, and a carrying case.
