Shure KSM32/CG Single-Diaphragm Microphone
The KSM32/CG is a side-address studio condenser built around a 1-inch embossed single diaphragm and an externally biased, transformerless circuit. That design gives it an extended, neutral response with very low self-noise, so vocals, acoustic instruments, piano, and room work track with an accurate, uncolored character rather than a hyped voicing. The cardioid pattern delivers strong off-axis rejection to keep the source in focus, and the charcoal-gray (CG) finish is the low-reflectivity stage version of the mic.
A switchable 15 dB pad extends the usable range up to high sound pressure levels, while a selectable low-frequency filter tames rumble and controls proximity effect on close vocals. The microphone ships complete with the A32M ShureLock stand mount, the A32SM ShureLock isolation shock mount, an AK32C zippered carrying case, and an A32VB velveteen protective pouch.
