Sennheiser i42T-L Gooseneck Microphone System
The Sennheiser i42T-L is a gooseneck table microphone system built on the ME 36 condenser capsule. The ME 36 is a slim mini-shotgun head with a supercardioid to lobar pattern, the most directional of the IS-series capsules, so it stays tightly focused on the talker and rejects room reflections and loudspeaker wash in reinforced spaces. The permanently polarized element runs on 12 to 48 V phantom power and covers 40 to 20,000 Hz.
This configuration pairs the ME 36 and its windscreen with a longer MZH 3042 gooseneck for lecterns and podiums and a MZTX 30 table stand on a standard 3-pin XLR base. It drops straight into any mixer channel with phantom power.
