Sennheiser HS2-5 Headworn Microphone
The HS 2-5 is the pigtail version of Sennheiser's HS 2 headworn microphone, built around the same omnidirectional MKE 2 Gold condenser capsule. The omni pattern captures the voice evenly no matter how the head turns, and the featherweight boom keeps the capsule locked in front of the mouth for consistent level. At roughly 1.2 oz the whole assembly all but disappears on the performer.
Rather than a fixed connector, the cable ends in bare, tinned pigtail leads so an integrator can wire it to almost any bodypack transmitter. The mic ships in black with two interchangeable frequency caps, a short cap (MZC 2-1) and a long cap (MZC 2-2), for tailoring the high-frequency response to the application.
