Roland VR-4HD HD AV Mixer

The VR-4HD folds a video switcher, digital audio mixer, multi-view touch screen, and USB streaming interface into a single stand-alone unit, so one operator can run a small multi-camera production without a rack of separate gear. It mixes four channels of HD video: three dedicated HDMI inputs handle 1080p, 1080i, and 720p cameras, while the fourth input adds a scaler that also accepts analog RGB and component, letting a computer join the show. The built-in touch screen shows every source at once for fast, confident switching.

Audio is handled by an 18-channel digital mixer with four XLR microphone inputs, stereo RCA, a 1/8-inch input, HDMI-embedded audio, and USB audio, with auto-mixing, echo cancel, and delay to keep the sound locked to the picture. The USB 3.0 output streams up to compressed 1080p to popular platforms or into videoconferencing and can record straight to a drive, embedding the finished audio mix with the program.
