Roland VC-1-HS HDMI to SDI Video Converter
The VC-1-HS converts an HDMI video and audio signal to SDI, the format broadcast and staging crews rely on to run long cable pulls without loss. It accepts resolutions up to 1080p/60 and outputs 3G-SDI in both Level A and Level B, so a camera, computer, or media player on HDMI can join an SDI infrastructure. An HDMI thru connector passes the source on to a local monitor, and HDCP-protected sources are carried through to that loop-out.
Inside, an on-board re-clocker rebuilds the SDI signal to compensate for attenuation over long runs, keeping the picture stable at the far end of the cable. Embedded HDMI audio is converted to SDI, and a balanced 1/4-inch TRS pair lets an external analog source be added to the output.
