Rode Deadcat GO Artificial Fur Wind Shield
The Deadcat GO is an artificial-fur windshield made specifically for the RODE VideoMic GO. Its long synthetic pile breaks up moving air before it reaches the capsule, cutting the low-frequency rumble and buffeting that wind creates outdoors while staying acoustically transparent so the recorded sound is not dulled.
It slips over the microphone for shooting in gusty or exposed conditions, then pulls off for indoor use. For run-and-gun location work with a VideoMic GO, it is the difference between usable audio and a track ruined by wind noise.
