QSC RMX850a Two-Channel Power Amplifier
The RMX850a delivers 185 W per channel at 8 ohms and 280 W at 4 ohms in stereo, or 530 W at 8 ohms bridged to a single load, from two Class AB output channels in a 2U chassis under 16 inches deep. It is built to drive a pair of passive speakers or monitors in a house rig, a install rack, or a small touring package without the depth or weight of a full touring amp.
XLR and 1/4 inch balanced inputs feed Speakon and binding-post outputs, and independent, user-defeatable clip limiters plus selectable 30 Hz or 50 Hz low-frequency filters protect speakers and add headroom. Independent DC and thermal overload protection on each channel keeps the amp and the load safe if a cable shorts or a room runs hot.
