Pliant Rapid Adapter, 5/8 in Stud to 1/4 in - 20

Lighting stands land on a 5/8 inch stud and camera hardware lands on a 1/4 inch - 20 thread, and the Rapid Adapter is the part that gets you from one to the other. It presents a 17 mm long 1/4 inch - 20 thread on top of a standard 5/8 inch stud, which is what a MicroCom XR mounting bracket needs when it is going onto a stand rather than a belt.

Pliant specifies it for use with the PAC-TRI-6FT 6 ft tripod kit. It is worth having a spare in the accessory case, because this is the size of part that decides whether a base station gets mounted properly or gaff-taped to a stand leg.
