Panasonic WM-AX800 Beamforming Ceiling Microphone Array
The WX-AM800 is a beamforming ceiling microphone array that covers a meeting room or classroom up to 30 by 30 feet without a table mic in sight. Sixty-four MEMS elements form steerable pickup beams across four adjustable zones, with up to four exclusion areas to ignore HVAC vents or hallway doors, and on-board DSP raises or lowers sensitivity based on where the talker is so levels stay even as people move around the room.
Audio rides a single Dante RJ45 connection with AES67 support and PoE+ power, and a separate LAN port handles third-party control. The array mounts five ways: 2x2-foot in-ceiling, on-ceiling floating or flush, VESA pole, or suspension cables, with brackets and hardware included. Built-in voice tracking can drive one Panasonic PTZ camera with no external control system, and a WX-AU202 antenna/receiver adds two DECT wireless mics over the same cable run. The unit is UL2043 plenum rated.
