Panasonic PT-CMZ50U Ultra Short-Throw Laser Projector
The PT-CMZ50U is an ultra-short-throw laser projector built for classrooms and meeting rooms. Its fixed lens throws a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) image at a 0.235:1 throw ratio, so an 80-inch picture forms with the cabinet roughly 1 cm from the wall, keeping the beam out of a presenter's eyes and the shadow off the screen.
A laser phosphor light source rated up to 20,000 hours removes lamp changes, and 5,200 lumens with a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio holds up with the room lights on. Quiet Mode drops operating noise to 25 dB for small spaces. Connections include HDMI with CEC, an HDMI output for daisy-chaining, USB Type-A and RS-232C control. This is the white-cabinet model.
