Marshall VR65PHDK1 Portable Field Monitor Kit

The V-R65P-HD-K1 is the kit build of Marshall's V-R65P-HD, a 6.5-inch portable LCD monitor for HDTV and SD widescreen work, packaged with the power supply and carrying case that let it leave the shop. It takes HD-SDI (SMPTE-292M/296M) and SDI (SMPTE-259M) on 75-ohm BNCs with active loop-through on each connection, so it can be dropped into a signal chain without terminating it, and it accepts component analog HD/SD and composite video with automatic PAL/NTSC recognition.

An HD-15 multiformat connector adds SVGA, XGA, and SXGA computer sources with automatic scaling. The operator toolset is aimed at the camera side: a monochrome mode and a zoom function for checking critical focus, six frame marker overlays plus center and safe-area marks, blue-only display for lining up SMPTE color bars, built-in color bars, and a sharpness control. Three tally LEDs (red, green, and amber) cover on-air indication. Power is 12 VDC from the supplied brick-type supply.
