The 272B is a three-section background support in aluminum, extending from 112 cm to 298 cm and collapsing back to 112 cm (44.09 in) at the end of the day. Its column tubes step down through 28, 25 and 22 mm (1.1, 0.98 and 0.87 in).

A standard 9.5 mm top attachment pairs it with whatever the shot needs, and it fits pipes and columns ranging from 2 cm to 9.45 cm in diameter. The support weighs 0.92 kg (2.03 lb).
