Lake People MC50 Monitor Controller

The MC50 is the rackmount Lake People monitor controller, a 19 inch 1U unit with two inputs, two line outputs for amplifiers or active monitors, and a slave output. What sets it apart from most controllers this size is the headphone section: a true balanced amplifier with four power stages, front-panel PRE-GAIN and X-Feed, rather than a jack hung off the monitor bus.

The full set of stereo checks is on the front panel: solo left, solo right, channel swap, mono and right-channel phase reverse. Level runs through an ALPS RK27 potentiometer with 41 detents, so a monitoring level is repeatable between sessions. Noise and distortion are held as low as the circuit allows.
