Leader LV7300 SER21

The LV7300-SER21 CLOSED CAPTION option lets the Leader LV7300 rasterizer decode caption data embedded in the SDI signal and superimpose it over the picture. It handles CEA/EIA-608 and EIA-708 captions mapped per SMPTE ST 334, European teletext and OP47 subtitles, and Japanese ARIB captions, so an operator can confirm captions are present and correct rather than trusting they were inserted upstream.

The option is a firmware licence installed on the instrument. It carries broad multi-language support and includes a TV-commercial material check that flags whether captions appear during a prohibited window. The same option is offered on the LV5300A and LV5350 as their SER21.
