Kramer VS-8UFX 8-Port 12G SDI Matrix Switcher with Interchangeable Inputs & Outputs

The VS-8UFX is an 8-port SDI matrix built around a simple idea: every port can be defined as either an input or an output. Set four in and four out for a straightforward 4x4 matrix, or push it to a 1x7 distribution amplifier, a 7x1 switcher, or any other combination a job calls for - the same box covers all of them without swapping hardware. It handles SDI, HD-SDI and 3G HD-SDI up to 12G-SDI, with a 12Gbps maximum data rate and 4K@60Hz (4:2:2) support, and Kramer's re-Klocking and equalization technology rebuilds the digital signal so it can travel further down the cable run - up to 350m for SD, 140m for 1.5GHz HD and 120m for 3G signals.

Clean switching keeps cuts glitch-free as long as sources are genlocked to the selected reference within two lines of video, and a versatile analog genlock input makes that easy to set up. Eight memory presets store multiple switch configurations for one-touch recall during a live event or rehearsed show. ANC data - embedded audio, teletext, timecode - passes through untouched, and control runs from the front panel, RS-232, Ethernet or built-in web pages.
