Klark Teknik DN9650 AES50 Network Bridge Format Converter
The DN9650 is the bridge between an AES50 network and a third-party digital audio network or point-to-point interface. The two sides sit in separate clock domains and are joined by a bidirectional asynchronous sample rate converter, so they can run at different sample rates without a shared master clock.
Up to 64 channels cross in each direction. MADI and Audinate Dante are supported through the KT-MADI and KT-DANTE64 network modules, which fit an expansion slot compatible with the industry-standard Cirrus CM-1 format, so a new protocol is a module change rather than a new frame. Clocking runs off a temperature-controlled crystal oscillator with 1 ppm stability, and the clock source can be taken from the network, an AES50 domain, word clock in, or video black burst.
