Klark Teknik DM8500 Networked Digital Audio Processor
The DM8500 is the open-architecture processor for installed systems: corporate rooms, hospitality venues and anywhere the DSP has to be configured to the building rather than the other way round. Routing, processing and acoustic echo cancellation are all laid out by the integrator.
Ten electronically balanced analogue inputs on Euroblock connectors take up to +24 dBu with 0 to +66 dB of gain in 6 dB steps and switchable 48 V phantom power, feeding six balanced outputs. Dante networking carries 64 channels in and 64 out over two RJ45 ports at 48 kHz and 24-bit, AES50 adds 16 more outputs, and embedded USB connects the processor to computer conferencing systems. Ethernet and RS232 ports control and monitor the other devices in the rack.
