Kelvin Sparkle Diffuser for Play Series

The Sparkle Diffuser is the light touch in the Play modifier set. Where a softbox trades most of the output for a wide, even wrap, this one opens the beam to a 70 degree half peak angle and costs about two stops, which keeps the fixture punchy enough to work at a distance while taking the hard edge off skin. Its doubled layer material is what gives it the name: the second layer scatters just enough to hold detail in the face and leave a defined catchlight in the eyes rather than a flat white square.

It is designed for the Play Hero and mounts magnetically, so it goes on and comes off one-handed on a moving set with nothing to thread or clip. At 41.3 g and 15 x 6.9 x 1.8 cm it adds nothing meaningful to a pocket-light kit, and it ships as a single diffuser in a cardboard box.
