IDX SB-U98 PD 96Wh Sony BP-U Type Battery

The SB-U98 PD is the high-capacity BP-U pack at 96Wh, for Sony PXW-FX9 and FX6, FS5 and FS7, and the PXW and PMW series. It carries a 14.4V D-Tap output rated to 70W plus a USB Type-C PD port for input and output, so it can be charged from a USB-C supply as well as from a dedicated charger.

Maximum discharge current is 6.4A, with an 11V end voltage and protection against over charge, over discharge and over current. Note that it is not compatible with the Sony BC-CU1 charger, and that the minutes remaining shown in the viewfinder can be inaccurate on some Sony bodies; the LED gauge on the battery is the reliable reading. It charges in 3:45 on a Sony BC-U1A or 4:10 on a single channel of the IDX MOTIX MC-2U.
