The Solidcom C1 is a full-duplex wireless intercom built around DECT 6.0 headsets that talk directly to one another, so a 3-person crew can hear and speak at the same time with no beltpack, cable, or base station. One headset acts as the master and the rest link to it over the 1.9 GHz band, a range separate from the 2.4 GHz used by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which keeps the channel clear on a busy set. Acoustic echo cancellation and a 150 Hz to 7 kHz voice band keep every call clean on a multicam shoot, a house of worship service, or a live event.

A master headset holds a wireless radius of up to 1,100 ft (350 m) line of sight, and a full system supports up to 8 headsets. Remote headsets run about 10 hours on a charge and the master about 5 to 6 hours, and every headset uses a swappable battery so a spare keeps the crew talking.
