Electro-Voice ZXA1-90 Powered Loudspeaker
The ZXA1-90 packs an EV8L 8 inch woofer and a DH2005 titanium-diaphragm compression driver into a cabinet small enough for one person to carry, then drives them with an 800 W, two-channel amplifier module derived from EV's Tour Grade touring amps. The compression driver loads into a rotatable 90 x 50 waveguide, so the box can go horizontal or vertical without losing its pattern control.
An XLR mic/line input on the amp panel lets it run straight off a mixer or a microphone with no outboard gear, and an XLR line output daisy-chains a second cabinet or feeds a companion subwoofer. The bi-amplified crossover includes woofer excursion protection and a switchable high-pass filter for pairing with a passive EV subwoofer when more low end is needed.
