Electro-Voice ULM18 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone

The ULM18 is the cardioid lavalier in the Electro-Voice ULM series. The cardioid pattern is the one to reach for when the talker is working near a monitor or a loudspeaker and an omni would ring; it trades a little forgiveness on placement for usable gain before feedback.

The capsule is finished in semi-gloss black so it disappears against a suit or a dark shirt on camera, and at 20 g it hangs on a lapel without dragging the fabric out of shape. Response runs from 100 Hz to 18 kHz.
