Electro-Voice RE920TX Instrument Clip Microphone
The RE920TX is a back-electret condenser built for close-miking instruments rather than voice, with a cardioid pattern and enough SPL headroom (148 dB maximum at 1% THD) to sit directly on a drum, brass bell, or bridge of a stringed instrument without breaking up. A custom clip anchors it securely to whatever it is miking, and its compact 158 mm by 24 mm body stays out of a player's way.
It connects by TA4F for direct use with EV or Telex bodypack transmitters, or wired through EV's TXA adapter when a hardwired XLR feed is preferred over a wireless pack. The finish is a non-reflecting black that keeps it out of stage lighting and camera shots.
