The RE50L is the long-handled version of the RE50 field interview mic. The extra handle length exists for one reason - to keep the reporter's hand out of the shot when the mic is held up to a subject on camera.

Omnidirectional, so it stays even as the mic swings between interviewer and subject rather than dropping out off axis. Dyna-Damp internal shock mounting handles the passing noise, and a four-stage pop filter deals with wind and plosives outdoors. 9.5 inches overall.
